Calvin Guo (b. 2002, San Diego, California) lives and works in Chicago, IL. He earned his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2026. He previously attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he studied electrical engineering before transferring. His practice focuses on figurative oil paintings that explore themes of space, the peripheral, and institutions.
Calvin is currently an exhibiting artist and board member of TOSSAROSE Art Collective. TOSSAROSE is a Chicago-based art collective founded by Calvin Guo, Harry Lee, Elijah Ross, and Zeynep Karahasan. Calvin has exhibited in TOSSAROSE group shows such as First Petal, Metempsychosis, The Day After, and Gudunk.
